Fragile Machines cycles through seasons, space, the bodies of women and water with the fluidity and rapidity of panicked memory. The origin of the work is its movement direction, which follows a form of contemporary dance: contact improvisation. Because of this improvisational quality, the film began completely formless and was born out of the discoveries the cast and Its directors made together and then let evolve over the course of two years. Along the way, we found an undercurrent of desire, failure, freedom and sex in the movement and let that set our course.
